English engraver Brian Wiseman has just completed work on a specially commissioned K-80. The pictures on this site are of the finished engraving still "in the white", that is before any finishing work has been done. The engraving style is typically English with detailed game scenes, featuring partridge, pheasants and woodcock, surrounded by beautifully executed fine scrollwork. The Krieghoff shield and name on the underside are inlaid in gold.
Engraving patterns in the white are notoriously difficult to photograph as there is no contrast in the bottom of the cut lines. Even so, these images do provide at least an idea of the superb detail in this pattern. The receiver and forearm iron will now be colour case hardened by the firm of Ray St. Ledger, acknowledged as the finest in the world for this work. After hardening the gun will be stocked with a specially chosen blank to compliment the engraving style and colour.
This K-80 is available and can be finished to your personal specification. For further information please contact us.
Finishing will take around six to eight weeks. Final price will depend on specification but a figure of £18,500 inc VAT can be taken as a guide. This would include a high grade stock to standard measurements, screw choke barrels and the fitted case. |
