The Lakenheath Muzzle Loaders had there first shoot at Lakenheath
On Sunday the 20th May 2007 The Lakenheath Muzzle Loaders held there first shoot meeting for 2007 at Lakenheath.
The Lakenheath regulars were fascinated to see Clare, Martin and Bev shooting battue, auto rabbits along with standard clays with these old guns.
The opinions of those that shot clays with the muzzle loaders is that, there was very little recoil, and the distance at which they were breaking the clays was not far short of what could be achieved with a standard nitro shell.
In conclusion, those that had a go, including myself, found the day very informative, great fun, and definitely something that needs exploring further.
The September Skeet shoot is attracting a lot of shooters interest. Watch this space.
